So I was thinking of submitting my AACOMAS with my 504 MCAT, 3.3x sGPA, and 3.5x cGPA the first day that it opens and apply to about 15 schools.

Then, I'm thinking of retaking my MCAT ON July 22nd and when I get my score back, update my AACOMAS to reflect my score change. I want to apply early and broadly but I don't think my MCAT is competitive enough with my GPA.

Any thoughts on my plan?

I'm not retaking the MCAT and I got a 501 with 3.63 cgpa and 3.59 sgpa and have the same plan to apply early. It's up to you if you want to take the mcat again. I was going to retake mine, but I'd rather just focus on my application. Good luck!

I would hold off on submitting day 1 if you think you can score higher. Day 1 is still incredibly early. Use the extra time to allow yourself more time to polish your PS and EC's. Submit to a throwaway school to get the app validated sometime in July then add your target schools and top choices once you have your new MCAT score in August.

I submitted day 1 and took my second MCAT in August last year. I got in no problem. Do what you want 🙂

A 504 is good enough for most schools, especially if you apply early, just note that you'll be retaking on the app. A word of caution, if you do worse it can hurt you dramatically and you must report it even if you do worse.
