I am new to the forum, and am posting because I have a pressing issue.
I am currently planning to leave my program for another field. I am in a small, competitive field (think road) with only a few residents per year. Anyone have advice on the best way to approach my PD/Chair with this news? I am planning on talking to them only if I have a plan for next year, but I am getting close to having one. My biggest problem is that I am unsure they will be able to fill my spot for next year (aka no prelims can move in). Advice? Thanks 🙂
