I sent a follow-up email to a professor of mine asking for a LOR (he hadn't responded for two-ish weeks). I realized about 30 seconds after I sent him the email that I made a small mistake. Here's a paraphrase of the email:
"I took two courses under you at Harvard Extension School: Organic Chemistry II (Chem E-2b) in Spring 2012. I was wondering if you would be willing to write me a letter of recommendation in support of my application to medical school. I would be happy to re-send my resume and personal statement."
If you didn't notice what was wrong with that body text, I had absent-mindedly wrote that I had taken two courses under him, but, in fact, I had taken only one.
So, should I do something about this, or just let it go?
