Hey all...

It's been a while since my last post and of course things always change from what we previously thought would happen. I am now a senior in undergrad, sitting at a 3.1 cGPA and a 2.9 sGPA. I need advice on what my next step should be. I have scribing experience (am continuing to scribe), volunteer at a local therapy place, and am in a leadership position on my schools sports team.

I know that I want to go into healthcare more than anything. Everything else frankly bores me and I'm so motivated to make this happen. I messed up my GPA the first couple of years and am slowly getting it back up, but it's in no shape to apply to med schools this cycle.
I took the MCAT this past summer and the day before came down with a nasty virus that tanked my score as I was practically incoherent for the last 2 sections. Should've voided my score but wasn't thinking straight (obviously).

My question is what should i do next? i was planning on an SMP but I don't think I have the start to get in with my MCAT score. I am also toying with the idea of a gap year to just work and restudy for the MCAT and then apply to an SMP and then med school? Should I just consider a DIY post bacc? Any advice is helpful as I am constantly second guessing what to do. I want to make this happen and I'm not ready to give up. I understand at this point that it will take me a while longer to get to where i want to go, but i'd appreciate any guidance I can get.

Thanks

What's your MCAT? I've seen verrrry low numbers get in (remember they're meant for people whose grades aren't so hot)
