Greetings everyone,

I'm currently a pain medicine fellow and I'm planning on opening up a practice with one of my cofellows right after fellowship. We're interested in the Carolinas, especially South Carolina. Does anyone know of a good practice management consulting firm that will help us launch the practice?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Opening my own practice is a longtime dream of mine but I want to do it the right way. There's so much that I don't know about the process. I figured I might as well hire some experts on the subject to facilitate things.

I think that the best way to determine if a company is good is by talking to their previous customers. Go to their offices and look around if they will let you. My experience is with the dental office business; The "biggest" and "best" dental consulting business is Sallie McKenzie and they really market themselves well. We almost went with them but heard from other people that they are crap. We did hear very positive things about another company and they have not let us down.

Word to the wise: companies that market themselves well and seem great aren't necessarily worth the $35,000 you pay to them so examine their product before you jump in. Let me know how it goes because I also dream of owning my own pain office. Good luck.

We're in Sc are you planning to open and how much would you plan to spend on PM
