I took one of the Kaplan programs and I will tell you it was a complete waste of time. The only professors I liked were the Physio and Pharm guys who didn't just read from the ppt. They actually reviewed the high yield topics and techniques to solve problems. Every Kaplan professor should be like this but unfortunately some of them have no idea how to teach - you might a PhD who is very qualified but he doesn't teach the information a medical student needs to use for Step 1 preparation.
If you have the time- Sketchy series, Pathoma, Uworld, FA, BRS physio. These sources, combined with what you learned in basic sciences, will help you more than Kaplan in my personal opinion.
