Hey guys,

Some background, I'm 25 year old AA male studying bio at a state college.

I'm just getting my feet wet with the MCAT, signed up for jan 15, the old one and wanted some tip/advice on how to go about studying for it in general such what material works best for which subject. So far I have started with physics, doing the TBR and its pretty tough, it has alot of content & I think the passages are doable. I just feel a bit overwhelmed and that maybe I could be more efficient.....I downloaded the topic review from AAMC & using that as guide so far. Another question is should I spend one day doing content then another doing passages or should I do both in one day. Also what about doing cross topics such translationa; motion & then doing gen chem? I apologize if I'm all over the place. I really want to do good so I'm sticking w/ TBR & TPR for the most part, Kaplan feels good to practice with but am afraid it doesn't provide enough & EK is1001 is good for drilling prob. If anyone has any suggestions or methods let me know thanks!

I paid almost $2k to do online kaplan course. my score went from mid 20s to low 30s. I did ALL the recommended reading and practice passages. Many on SDN find the sn2ed method effective. Some prefer princeton review over kaplan.

I would take a full length practice test first, see where you are at and then start studying.

You may want to post this in the MCAT forum as there are many there who have great advice!

As for my input, I was almost a decade removed from my 1st year science courses, I used Chad's videos and found they helped me tremendously
