What's the best way to utilize the USMLE world qbank?

Is it better to do the questions system by system after reading the relevant sections in FA or whatever review text (ie reading the cardio section, then doing all the cardio questions)?

Or is it better to just do blocks of random questions?

I've heard people being successful using both methods. I personally did random blocks...I found that to be very helpful because the overlap between my source (FA) and USW was not as great as it was for step1. So, either way you will be learning a lot from USW. Hope this helps!

There are many schedules.

First Aid = Step Up = Secrets = Whatever

Week 1 First AID read through
Week 2-4 Qbank Random Banks, weekends take notes
Week 5 Practice Tests

Week 1-4 First Aid sections with qbank
Week 5 Random sections + Practice Tests

IN the end it really doesnt matter so long as you make a plan and stick to it. If you are currently a med student then its likely the first example is superior. If you are a practicing physician 9 years out you should probably do the latter.
