Hey everyone,
I'd like some advice on what to do next to strengthen my application.
I'm a re-applicant (applied in 2017 and got rejected from all schools), and I have taken the DAT twice.
here is my stats,
GPA 3.6
sGPA 3.4
DAT(the best out of the two tries)
18 PAT
20 bio
21 gen chem
20 orgo
20 RC
16 QR
I have done a lot of community services(~300 hours combined), and some dental shadowing (~120 hours)
I have applied this year during my gap year, and only got one interview and will probably be waitlisted since I haven't heard anything yet.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated !
thanks

is that your most recent DAT?
or are those the best scores in each section?

that's not how it works
list both tries, all scores
or at least the most recent one

how many applied and interviewed in 2017 and 2018?
Sure, I had the impression that some schools take the best out of both tries
1st DAT
19 RC
20 bio
21 gen chem
19 orgo
13 QR
17 PAT
18 AA
2nd DAT
20 RC
18 BIO
19 gen chem
20 orgo
16 QR
18 PAT
18AA
Yes I know I’m not the best at math, which brought my AA down both times
Thanks in advance !

in your OP, you said "probably waitlisted" and now you say "waitlisted"
which is correct?
are you an URM?

I was in the same position and had to take the DAT three times, spend every waking second you can studying QR and crush the DAT (21+). I’m bad at math too but I spent 3 months straight preparing for it and ended up getting into my top choice after going 0/11 the past 2 cycles

And our GPAs are almost exactly the same. Just keep the shadowing and community service going (it shows commitment) and study like your life depends on it for this last DAT

Lol, then yes I think I’m considered under represented minority
for now, you cannot do much other than wait for post-dec interviews and the one waitlist you are on
I would've recommended applying to more schools than you did
the cycle has just begun, so you still have hope

Thank you for your feedback! I’m thinking about redoing my DAT, and that’s gonna be my last hope lol, it’s just that I’m waitlisted and I’m thinking that I might get in but I think I consider the worst case scenario

I didn’t apply to like 16 schools the first cycle and got rejected from all of them so I thought it’s really not important, although I should’ve applied again this cycle. I’m also planning on starting a basic medical sciences masters program this Jan, what are your thoughts about that?

your DATs were what was holding you back the first cycle (specifically the 13 in QR)
and you are certainly not out of it this cycle yet
I think you should do like 0023 did and just make sure you crush the DAT if you don't get in this cycle
your grades are not bad at all, maybe an informal post-bac to show schools you can handle upper division sciences (and also if you have not been going to school these last 2 cycles)
