Hey everyone. I recently graduated in May, and I'm taking a gap year to figure everything out. I wanted to be a pediatrician at a young age, but I changed my mind because I was afraid I couldn't do it. It's always been in the back of my mind, and I didn't feel like I gave medical school a fair shot. I'm a first generation student. Although my parents gave me lots of support, the college process was something I had to figure out on my own. Professors weren't that helpful, because I wasn't the type of student that didn't get the concept fast. I had to spend lots of time studying, and I even had to retake a couple of courses. I have a 3.4 science GPA; 3.5 overall GPA. I still have a couple outstanding prerequisites that I'm finishing up this fall semester. I'm sorry if this sounds like a rant or pity part, that is not what I'm trying to do. The whole process has been overwhelming. I just need some advice or encouragement. I appreciate any guidance.
