I have 24 days after my last final to study. Do I have time to do anything more than FA + USMLEworld in that amount of time? Are there any resources I should prioritize over finishing FA + UW? I have thoroughly reviewed phys and micro already, and have gone through RR Path cover to cover over the last 3 weeks.

NBME exam?

Um, yeah you have time for other things. You could finish UW if you did 100 questions per day, which is no more than 3 hours total. First Aid is only like 500 pages, which is <25 pages per day, so what will you do for the rest of each day?

50 questions including annotation is taking me 2.5 hours, and I'm considered a pretty fast reader (I blame FA's index, or lack thereof).

2-2.5 hours is the fastest i ever went through 50 questions. i could go through them faster but i wouldnt retain the information as well.

im doing all questions random timed... im guessing going through them all completely will take me 3 hours each. I go through things pretty slowly, although I don't plan on annotating anything when I do the questions

One thing that has helped me is to break down the questions into smaller blocks. I typically do 75 q's per day. 25 in am, 25 around noon, and 25 in pm.

Rather than doing blocks of 25 q's, I do one block of 10 and one block of 15. This keeps me from burning out when reading through some of world's lengthy explanations.

Towards the test date, I'll probably start doing blocks of 50 just to get used to what the real thing will be like.

You might think about adding HY Neuro. It's pretty fast and one area where I'm not sure FA + UWorld will be completely adequate. Uworlds got neuropath, but not much neuroanatomy, IMHO.

I think Uworld hits Cell and Molec Bio pretty good, but if you're weak in this like me, it's kind of nice to have it all in one place in HY Cell and Molec Bio.

Just what I've noticed from studying...haven't taken the test yet.

Oh, not me. I don't spend more than 70 minutes on 50 questions...

WOW!! Thats crazy! I wish.....
Yeah Im with the rest at like 2-2.5 hrs for 50 quest. SOmetimes even 3 dep on the subjects...Phew...Wish I was that speedy.

LOVE the idea of splitting up the questions though. And worrying about doing the blocks of 50 for times sake closer to the test. I like that! Youd def get more done and not feel burnt out with 3 hours in front of the comp.

Thanks!

wow you guys are all so fast. I did 100 Qbank yesterday and for the first time tried reading through answers carefully and typing notes in onenote - uhh all of this took like 8 hours!!

yea i know im slow. 🙁

U are right. It takes me 3 hours to do 50 questions only.

I mean for the person who does 50 questions in 70 minutes do you read the entire explination for wrong and RIGHT answers?

Would some students please be willing to share their study schedules? I have 4 weeks left and am trying to figure out a schedule for myself but having a hard time in doing so.

Here's what I'm doing:

USMLE Practice Test (Free One)
2 days of Physio (BRS + FA)
4 days of Path (RR + FA)
2 days of Behavioral (HY + FA)
4 days of Micro/Immuno (Ridiculously Simple & HY + FA)
4 days of Pharm (deja + FA... mostly FA and notecards I'm making)
3 days of Biochem (RR + HY + FA)
2 days of Anatomy (Road Map, HY Cell and Molecular, and Clinical Neuroanatomy Made Ridiculously simple + FA)
1 day for 2 NBME's
3 days for review
The big dance.

I had less than 4 weeks between when school ended/third year starts. I wish I had another day built in to take more NBME's, and a break or two in there. C'est la vie.
