I am road tripping and got stopped in Missouri for going 11 over. No big deal I thought - was about to send in my fine and plea guilty ASAP, but I googled the citation code and it's a misdeamonor (5 over is a class c misdeamonor, analogous to petty theft and sexual harassment ...wtf Missouri). I guess I'm going to hire a lawyer to try and reduce this, having a misdemeanor for this is just ridiculous.
I am on two wait lists and have an upcoming interview, so I feel my chances of an acceptance (and background check) are pretty decent. I know aadsas specially excludes minor traffic violations - which this is in my mind. Would you guys let schools know now, wait for the background check, or do nothing?
