I recently took the DAT and scored TS 18 and AA17. My QR score really hurt my AA. My GPA is around 3.2 (not great). I graduate in December and figure with my "numbers" I will not get any interviews. I plan on taking a few bio classes in the spring and will apply next year agian very early and will re-take the DAT in early summer. If I take courses after I graduate will my GPA be counted separately? I do not want to go for a Masters if I do not have to. I know I can score better on the DAT and will take classes to improve my GPA and chances. Any advice?

taking additional undergraduate classes after you graduate wont be "counted separately" but will be calculated in with your already existing 3.2. Unfortunately this makes it a bit tougher to bring up your GPA as the additional classes are only a small fraction of the total credit hours but any boost in GPA is a good thing. Raise your GPA, apply early and retake the DAT if you think a retake is necessary.

Thanks for the advice. That is my plan. If I can raise my total GPA to 3.3 I think it will help me out a lot. My last two years of college I have managed a 3.4 average. Its my sub par 3.0 GPA that I maintained my first two years that is hurting me. Oh well, hard work will hopefully pay off.

i thinhk u should consider doing a Post-bac? most schools primarily use that GPA (this is where u pull off the 4.0) and ur DAT scores..

so amaze them with ur new and improved study habits (4.0 gpa) and AA 20+! it worked for my friend.

I would suggest for you to take your DAT in May so that as soon as AADSAS opens you can e-submit. That way your application will go out first and you will have the best chance of getting in.
