I was accepted at a couple schools. Graduated a couple years ago but indicated on aacomas i planned on taking two courses this year. One was a retake for a class that wasn't a pre-req. neither are pre-reqs. But now the CC is telling me i can't do the retake b/c i didn't take the pre-req at their school. So now i can't take either of the planned courses.I'm kind of freaking out, any advice? contact school and notify them? thanks!

Uh... you're fine. I highly doubt any schools will hold you to your "planned" courses. **** happens. Finish pre-reqs, thats all they care about.

Thanks DrWily. I'm guessing I should still notify them since they said they wanted transcripts from this CC on the acceptance letter? Pre-reqs are good to go...have been since graduating. stupid math.

anybody else have advice or experienced something like this?

What are the classes? I wold definitely let them know/get permission to opt out of the classes. I would never chance anything like that nor would I trust any advice on the matter unless it was from the medical school. If they say you do need to follow through with what you put on the application, I'm assuming you would commute or whatever had to be done, right?

I kinda agree with both posters...

Just give the school a call. It's most likely not a problem. If so, the admissions person will tell you to relax and that it's no big deal. But it's always good to call just to let them know.

If you're retaking a prerequisite that's lower than "C" the first time around, you may be in trouble. Otherwise, I doubt they'll care. Either way, call the schools.

Why does the CC care whether you took the class at another college/university or not?

Thanks for the advice everyone. I emailed them and will follow up with a phone call.

Danny...its not that I didn't take the pre-req at their school. I took the math course at my 4 year, yet according to the CC I can't take it at their school unless I take a semester pre-req. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Thanks everyone
