Hello everyone, I need some major advising,
I have an overall gpa of a 3.2
Science gpa of 3.5
I have a F on my transcript for college writing. (freshman year)
Second time around: B-
Freshman year took algebra but withdrew from it
Second time around took it again at a community college and got a C
1. How should I explain myself about that F?
2. This was in my freshman year, I am now a senior and for the past two years I have only gotten 2 C's, and last semester I was in the deans list with a semester gpa of 3.8.
I need advice, I really do not know how to approach this two red flags in my transcript..
Anyone with similar situation and got accepted to dental school?

THANKSSSSSSSS

tell the truth......for instance, hated the class/professor/material, family problems. whatever it is, better to just get it out, no shame. thats what i plan on doing (i'm applying this year, so might have to explain 2 C's).
as long as you keep the trend of improving grades, and do well on DATs (especially RC and QR, might help you save face for bad writing/algebra grades).
good luck.

dont be surprised if your aadsas gpa is below your school gpa because aadsas doesnt consider "freshman forgiveness" and the f may substantially skew your average.

But, since both grades were incurred during your freshman year, this will make your excuse for poor grades a bit easier to explain.

Better have an explanation in case they asked. They look at the whole picture but that doesn't mean they won't ask about one grade. If you don't have any other blemishes you will be fine.
