Hi all. here is my dilemma, any advice would be highly appreciated. I am a now finishing my PGY1 in FM. at the beginning of the year I was struggling with a new system (being an IMG) but then I worked really hard and study really hard and made many changes which were appreciated by my attendings, advisor and PD. Things were good and I was told I was no longer on the radar and congratulated on being one of the best interns in my class.
Today I got a horrible eval from inpatient Pediatrics rotation I did one month ago and was told that I would be on the RCAT and need a formal learning plan. the thing is that I feel like I was blindsided. Through out the month I thought I did well , frequently asking feedback from my senior who maintained " Dont worry, You're doing just fine". Now granted this rotation is an Away rotation for us with a new system and I do agree that i struggled at the beginning with a new computer /ordering system. But now I'm told I would have to repeat the rotation.
this really sucks. And I was wondering if there is anything I should do differently this time around? or just any advise surviving now that I am on RCAT. I'm quite terrified.
thankyou.
