So this is my deal - Currently studying for MCAT, taking prob April 1st. Retaking a few classes (physics 1 & 2, gen chem 1 & 2). Hoping to have a 502< MCAT and 3.2-3.4 GPA at the end of it. With these stats and good EC's and LOR's (which I believe I have) do I stand a decent chance if I apply to 20< DO schools?!

My back up plan was to enter a MS/post-bacc program at one of these schools that allow admission to the osteopathic school correlated with it but this is last resort - I would rather not spend the money plus if I apply to these programs wouldn't they start before I even know if I get an interview invite to anywhere?!

Thanks.

If your GPA is below a 3.2 and your MCAT is around a 24 converted I wouldn't waste my money applying. If you're at a 3.4 with a 26-27+ MCAT then you def stand a chance.

You have a shot if you have a 502 MCAT...but if you get at least a 505 you'll probably get in somewhere if you apply broadly.

Let me clarify, my sGPA is 3.0 and cGPA is 3.2 as it stands. If I increase my sGPA to 3.2 and cGPA to 3.4 (after retakes) and score 500+ do I still have a chance? A 500 is min I wanna get but hoping for 502-506. With a 500 and 3.2/3.4 GPA should I still apply or look into MS feeder programs and get into DO school that way?

Are you talking sGPA above 3.2 or cGPA? cGPA already 3.2 and sGPA is 3.0 as it stands.

sGPA is more important than cGPA, so get your sGPA as high as possible.
