Hi everyone,
I really need advice 🙁
I wrote my DAT in Feb and did really well & my GPA is about average. I'm in a 5-year undergrad program because of co-op, and I'm in my last year now. I wanted to have my applications submitted back in July, however, a lot of the professors who I was considering going to for reference letters weren't available. They are now and they've agreed to write me reference letters, however, I'm seriously reconsidering applying this cycle. I feel like I may not be a strong enough applicant, and my references may be rushed. While I did well on DAT, my GPA is only average & I only started getting into dental jobshadowing/volunteer work last year. If I had applied earlier, I wouldn't have been as worried, but is it too late now since there are probably less seats available? Should I wait, take a year off & reapply next cycle, and within the year, work on building my application OR should I apply now & hope for the best & reapply next cycle if I don't get in this cycle?
