Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could get some advice. I am currently in the cycle, and applied very early (around the first week of june). Should I be worried that friends of mine are getting interview while I am not getting contacted at all? My GPA overall is a 3.31 and my science is 3.28. DAT I got a 21AA 21TS 25PAT. Should I just wait patiently?

for my plan B, I was thinking about retaking my DAT and then applying again next june. While doing that I would sign up for a Post Bac for the september after that. What are everyone's thoughts of that? My concern is that my application next june would not have any changes to my GPA but hopefully it would have an improved DAT score.

U definitely dont need to retake your dat. Your stats are competitive enough. Just be patience.

Really all depends on where you applied/how many places/rest of application - your gpa is a bit low but you can make up for it with other things...

I think you are fine at the moment. Your DAT is very good so don't retake it. EVER.
Your GPA is a little on the low side (but it's not even that low) so I think you should receive some interviews soon. What are your other stats? ECs? LOR? shadowing hours?
As long as those are solid, I'm sure you'll be fine.

*If the force is not with you this cycle (and I say if), you can do a post Bac or retake some of low grade science classes to boost your GPA.
But I think you have a good chance this cycle.

May the floss be with you!!!

Congrats on your DAT score, very impressive. A 21 TS is better than most and a 25 PAT is incredible. No need to do anything with that.

Your GPA is a little on the low side, but nothing that would inhibit you from getting an interview - you may have to explain the discrepancy between your GPA and your DAT performance, but not many schools would shoot you down solely based on that.

So you must look at where you applied - did you apply to only Harvard and Columbia? Or did you apply to seven or eight schools, who are OOS friendly, and whose stats are similar to yours?

If the latter, then you need to look at your application - did you have good ECs? Did you shadow more than one day? How's your personal statement?

If you find yourself this March with no acceptances, then I would look into why that is. I would not, however, enroll in any more schooling - to me your academics look fine. I see it as a waste of money. Instead, what you would do, is; work, shadow, volunteer, become more involved in your community, etc. Essentially improve the rest of your application.

I wouldn't sweat yet though. We all gon make it.

Be patient. I have similar stats, granted my ECs are exceptional and I applied to a few schools where my stats were competitive. I have 3 interviews already this cycle and have hope for a couple more.

Patience my child.
