Hello Everyone,

I need some advice on what classes to take for the Fall semester. Here is my situation.

1.I want to improve my GPA which is 2.56 with a calculated AADAS science GPA of 2.41.

2. I enrolled in A&P, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Evolutionary Biology for the Fall 2007.

3. Counselors are now suggesting that this is too much and I will not increase my GPA, but instead may do more harm that good.

4. Then they suggest that I try a Texas Fresh Start Program where my prevous grades will be ignored and only the new classes with grades will be considered for dental school.

Should I do the Fresh Start Program or just take all the pre-req. for dental>

I am sorry, and I really do not mean to be a pessimist, but the Fresh Start would probably be the best route to go. I'm assuming you already have 150hrs under your belt, I doubt 9 hours of A's will help at all. Do the Fresh Start, take all the pre-reqs over again, and get a 4.0!

do the texas fresh start for sure. your gpa is to low. and that is to much of a class load for someone that is a weak student already you are going to hurt yourself more than help. you can still do dentistry but i think you should focus on that gpa and gettting a good dat good luck

That GPA is too low to be considered competitive for dental school. Be glad you have the opportunity to do a fresh start!
