I am going to be a sophmore at a community college in the fall and I ended my first year with a GPA of 3.364 is that a bad start if i plan on getting into dental school?

What classes did you take at the community college and what grades did you get? I'm assuming ur planning to transfer to a university soon? so if u did bad in the science classes like bio and chemistry it's only gona get harder at the university when u take the higher sciences. But you can still improve your grade to show ur progression. On the other hand if u just took elective classes and got that GPA, then yes that's bad.

Not at all, just do well on your science courses and the DAT and you should be fine. All that matters now is the upward trend really.

Honestly I think ur GPA from that year is low for the difficulty of the classes u just listed, i'm anticipating a lil lower GPA from you the next fall with chem and calc, unless u start working alot harder. also when are u gona transfer to a university? Cuz when u transfer, the university's science classes are a whole diff game from community college and expect an even lower GPA whenever u decided to transfer. I'm not trying to bring you down, infact i think this should only motivate u to prove people wrong and work ALOT harder.

Thanks for being honest w/ your answer and to tell you the truth i did not give it my all my first year and I WILL raise my gpa to a 3.5 this year cause i know how bad i want this. Is there any other advice or tips you could share with me?

Thank you so much I appreciate it
