I would like to hear from people out there who are in Dental School or are currently dentists. I am 27 and have already obtained a degree but am interested in getting into Dental School. I would most likely have to take a few classes in Biology and Chemistry in order to pass the DAT. Is this what I should do, or would studying for the DAT without re taking those classes be good enough?

Also with the work load in Dental School, I hear the 2nd year is the hardest, then it gets to more hands on then bookwork. How difficult is the work load? If someone is determined enough to study can anyone do it, or does it take another part of your brain to be able to study that stuff?

If you are looking for opinions from current dentists and dental students, you are posting on the wrong boards.

As for taking a few classes in biology and chemistry to pass the DAT, those classes are mandatory pre-reqs so you would have to take them no matter what, whether they are to help you for the DAT or not.
