Hi,
It's June now and I am planning to take part 1 in late July or early August. I've been hearing mixed views...some ppl I heard only used a few weeks while others said it takes them 6 months to study for it. I understand that different people have different studying habits, so i will like to start studying soon. I have the newest 2011 dental decks and a bunch of old exams and I am not sure where to start. I initally spent the time reviewing my old lecture notes but I felt like I was going in circles because there were A LOT of stuffs to know. Any advices are highly appreciated! I spent half the day looking through past threads and it seem that many people recommend kaplan (which I don't think we can buy unless we register for one of their courses) and first aid book.
By the way, do any one of you know when do most students take part 1. I understand that you can take it throughout the year but my school requires me to pass it by the beginning of my second year and I decided to take in this summer before I forget most of my 1st yr stuffs. The exam is based on a curving system, so would it be more better for the test taker if they take it when there's more people taking it at times such as summer time. Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks so much! Looking forward to hearing from you all soon!
