May 15th is rapidly approaching and I can't decide between Tulane and Mt Sinai. I really loved my visit to Tulane and the school surpassed my expectations in their match list and clinical experience. Also, it is a chance for me to leave the tri-state area. However, I do not know much about the school. Except from the Admission's Guide Booklet and the web-site since there is not much literature out there. Then again, Mt Sinai is a reputable school with an awesome curriculum. I know a lot more about MSSM since I am a New Yorker and have friends there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i'm finishing my first year at tulane, and i've loved every second of it (well..maybe not exams, but you get the idea). it's a very relaxed atmosphere, and there's very little of the "gunner" mentality. the faculty is receptive to suggestions from students when it comes to improving curriculum, and i've always found them to be very accommodating and easy to talk to. you get as much clinical experience as you choose to have your first and second year (tons of opportunities to intubate, practice interviewing skills in clinic settings, and things like that depending on how involved you want to get in the extracurricular activities). if you have any specific questions, post them or pm me. i'll be happy to help 🙂

I am finishing my second year at Tulane and I love it. Medical school will be difficult anywhere you go, but if you are surrounded by (mostly) fun and supportive classmates, it will make a world of difference.
