I am a resident at the Jax AEGD and it might just be the best residency around in my opinion. The VA in San Antonio is a good program, but the director is very intense.
How does the application process work? Do you apply to UF and then get placed, or is it different for each clinic location? Cause I would like to apply to St. pete as well. Also do you know whos the best person to contact for info.
One of my best friends from dental school did the GA gpr about 3 years ago. He loved it and now does his own implant placements, and is certified in IV sedation.

You apply to Jax and St. Pete separately through PASS. Neither of the two participate in the match. As for having to be licensed in FL, no, you do not have to have taken the FL boards to enter the residency.
As for contacts at the programs...Dr. Starr is the PD at Jax and Dr. Porter is the PD at St. Pete. I'm sure you can get their contact info. on the UF website.
