Hello
I've been recently interested in AEGD programs in Boston and was hoping to ask you guys some questions.
Just to give some background, I graduated about 2 years ago and have been working in private practice as a general dentist. I am hoping to enter 2020-2021 program anywhere in the Boston area. I did my dental school in Canada and currently practicing in Canada as well. I did however pass the NDBE part 1/2.
1) Does Boston University have an AEGD program?
2) I saw Tufts and NYU Langone (2 sites) in Boston for AEGD. Are you aware of any other programs near Boston?
3) How competitive are AEGD programs in general? (i.e. NYU or Tufts)
4) What exactly are they looking for in an AEGD candidate? For example, does research, marks in school, volunteer work, letters all matter, just like a residency program?
5) Would they be interested in accepting someone who has been out of school for 3-4 years?
6) Can the LOR be from clinical instructors? (i.e. not a big name)
Thanks again so much for your help everyone!
