I hear SDN is quite affordable. If you don't feel comfortable allowing random people online edit your PS, then your school should have a Writing Center.
I agree with this. I've received really good feedback from the random people on SDN I've sent my PS to, but a school writing center or consulting any friends that have already applied to professional schools are solid, cost-effective bets as well

There is a dentist on here who you used to review personal statements but I can't remember their name . I think if you do a search you might find him though. He's probably your safest best online. I'm kind of paranoid about that otherwise. I second using your school's writing center. Make sure you do a face to face appt. and not online, if they have they offer both options, so that they don't just gloss over it.

I second what everyone else has said. Check out your schools writing center for sure! They were a huge help for me personally.

Ignite PreDent has a PS and application review service, here's what the website says:

Your Personal Statement needs to meet all basic requirements while allowing you to stand out and, ultimately, apart from the crowd. $200
Turn around time is 48 hours and you can submit an statement for review up to 2 times.

Dr. Toothache is very helpful in his feedback.

Thanks for your suggestions.
My school writing center only accepts to help undergrad students and I have already graduated.

so that option is not gonna work.

Plus to be honest. I hate their service when it comes to personal statements. It seems to me they ruined whatever I had.
So even if they were available, they can't really help me.

What do you mean safest online?
What other possibilities can happen? I contacted some editor and send them my draft, is that not safe?

I honestly think it's such a waste to pay to have your personal statement edited. If you don't mind the cost, more power to you, but I personally don't find it worth it

I kinda agree with you. The editor I contacted, he offered free critique for my draft and I actually didn't like what he said, and now I am thinking, am I really gonna pay 127 dollars for this, I can buy a bigger tank for my fish with the same money.
I don't know. I think I'll focus on my dat for now. Worry about the personal statements later on.

I definitely think you can get better advice from people on SDN regarding your personal statement

Your friends, university writing centers, SDN
This OP...DocToothache is a great resource... but about other SDN people, get someone trusted not a jerk or someone just stealing your work possibly.
Current dental students and university writing centers are the best tool IMO. No need to go to professional services.

look at fiver.com it'll be like $15 and they'll pimp your ps pretty nicely
