I was under the impression that the committee meets to discuss numbers when determining which students to invite for interviews. Your performance and impression during the interview is highly regarded during the acceptance committee meeting. Im sure the numbers are also still considered especially when deciding between two close applicants. does anyone know for sure?

i was under the impression that your application gets you into the interview.
After the interview, they decide based on the interview. They made it sound like with 2000 applications, they look at them as little as possible.
I think at UT, they have a point system for deciding? A certain amount of points for your interview, GPA, DAT, LOR, EC, etc. And then they have to add up to a certain number before they decide? I'm not entirely sure.
I know from personal experience that they still may make a decision based on your file after the interview, even if you performed really well. Some schools differ on how much they consider it, but for sure they don't just forget about it.
