After you complete MSTP, you qualify for AARP and social security.

Seriously though, after MSTP you can really go into almost whatever you want. That's one of the benifits of the dual degree. You will almost have your pick of residencies, post-docs, etc... Most people do a residency then a post-doc, then go into some kind of academic medicine, whether mostly clinical or mostly research. You also have the option of going into industry or administration.

Then again you can do some mix of all of the above! Flexibility is key here!
