I need some advice of what to do after complete Pre-Pharmacy . It would be good if i got into Pharmacy school right the way, but life does not go smooth, so i have to consider all the things. If i fail to get in first try, what should i do in the time between until next year.

1. Should i continue to get a B.S degree while trying to get into the Pharmacy? Is it good to do it? do you think it is a waste of money since you will get into Pharmacy, and the 2 years extra only cost more money. Or the B.S will make i get into Pharmacy more easy . If you think it is good way, then what B.S degree should i choose that relate to that field ? which one that have high pay, and easy job to find ?

2. Should i stop going to school, and work as a Pharm tech, or something relate to that while studying and trying to get in each years. This would let me have more time to study, and save money when i am in Pharmacy. Is this way affect my application because i stop go to school for a period of time.

3. Should i pursue a completely different major like business while still trying get into Pharmacy.

By the way, is it easier to get into Pharmacy if you have a B.S degree ? Is there anyone that get in to Pharmacy only doing 2 years, or Pre-Pharmacy

I know there are many people that have gone through this path, and i would like to hear your ideas and story so that i can prepare from now.

Also, i never have any volunteer experiment. Does it really help you in the interview ? What kind of Volunteer should i do ? do Walgreen accept volunteer Pre-pharmacy student ? What about club activities ? if yes what kind of club should i choose ? or it does not matter as long as i join a club.

Thankyou very much

Search this forum to find advice, as this topic has been addressed many, many times before. The best advice would be to continue to work towards your degree. Having a degree will give you more of an edge than someone that doesn't have one. Definitely get experience in a pharmacy, most schools require it or look very favorably on it. As for who will let you, you have to ask each establishment to find out if they will let you come in to volunteer or not. Get into a club, any club will do but a pre-pharm club will be better. Also, look into becoming an officer in that club. Leadership experience helps as well. Also, community service of some type is good to get involved with.
