After reading many of these posts noone mentioned ANY Biochem on their exams

Noone even mentioned questions on basic crap like enzymes, proteins, TCA cycle, metabolism, ect. What the heck is that about ? Are the biochem topics gone from the MCAT ?

I had some biochem on mine (form FL). Had to know structures of sugars (like glucose, galactose)

I think i had one, but not exactly ALL about Glycolysis + TCA + ETC.
But it was mix of little of bacteria, nanoparticles and little about the way the obtain energy under certain conditions.

They were in there in the form of pseudo-discrete questions.

That is, they would ask about where the subject of the passage would be undergoing glycolysis or the TCA cycle to gauge whether you knew where the biochemical pathway took place in the cell....

I had one where it was referring to what activites take place in mitochondria...which was KREBS and TCA...
