I was wondering how much of a part the GPA and MCAT plays after one receives a secondary from a school (e.g. Wake Forest, UF, etc.) that screens primaries based on numbers. Do they look more at activities/essays/LORs from that point on or do the numbers play just as big of a part as they did pre-secondary?

Numbers never disappear, not even after interview. Extreme example, based on a school that screens pre-secondary:

Candidate 1: 3.4 GPA, 32 MCAT, Standard ECs and LORs, Interview rating: 9/10.
Candidate 2: 3.9 GPA, 35 MCAT, Standard ECs and LORs (same as above), Interview rating: 8/10.

I would bet that almost every school will take Candidate 2.

i dont think the numbers disappear.

but once you get that secondary, you should focus on giving more details about yourself that you werent able to reveal on the primary.

good luck!
