Airway case from the weekend

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Where l trained ALL the percutaneous trachs are done by anaesthetists. Why are you guys backing from performing another AW technique? Surgical AW is another story, but percutaneuous trachs are just a thing for a anaesthetists to do. Surgical AW are almost always done by ENT.

Perc. Trachs are normally done when patients have already been intubated (for a long time). You have a secured airway and can paralyze the patient when doing scoping and cutting. It is probably not something you try for emergent airway without surgeons around.
