Hi, all!

I recently just received an acceptance at NYMC and am currently holding an acceptance at AMC. AMC isn't giving me any financial support, and would be shocked if NYMC did, but I guess it is still a possibility.

Regardless, I think I am leaning more towards AMC (already signed a lease, feels like a real community, and while Albany as a city isn't great, I think I like the idea of living there more than Westchester -- even with Westchester being NYC-adjacent -- because of the lower cost of living).

HOWEVER, I would absolutely love any input anyone has!!!!

Are there any specialties that you are dying for? If not, AMC appears to be a clear winner. Unless NYMC gives you a good financial deal- then it gets more complicated

they seem v similar to me (ranking wise/what I know about them or have heard through the grapevine). I'd go to Albany unless you get a large scholarship from NYMC. Lower cost of living is big rn and honestly you don't have a ton of time in med school to go out and explore so Albany wouldn't be bad -- and if you ski, Killington is 2 ish hours away.

Funny you mention skiing. The adirondacks are just north of Albany- tons of outdoor opportunities year round that can be a good reprieve from all the studying.
