Hi- actually did an elective at montefiore. It's apretty good program, residents work hard- its not "cush" but its not the most difficult program. Advantages- very nice PD and chairman world reknown, teaching is decent. The disadvantage is that you rotate through four hospital one of them being in queens- so for some months you will have some commuting wherever you live. Otherwise its a pretty solid program proably on par with mt sinai but not as strong as columbia or kessler.
