It's official. I just received a certificate from AAPM that says since I passed the ABPM and I am a member of AAPM I can call myself an ALGIATRIST. They also sent me a little card for my wallet. It's retroactive to April 17.

I thought an algiatrist was algosdoc's shrink. 😀

Dang. I have been telling everyone I'm a "doloratician". Now I have to get new business cards.

I too received my card. What a special event it was at our home. "Honey, guess what, I'm an Algiatrist(tm)!" I screemed with joy.

Then, it dawned on me....wait...am I an "AL-GYE-A-TRIST" or an "AL-GEE-ATRIST?" Crap. The more things change, the more they stay the same...

You know, the AAPM should have just picked up the phone and called the physiatrists....or is it phizee-at-rists?
