OK. I am only going to say this once more.

Submit your ERAS application now. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE ALL PARTS COMPLETE TO SUBMIT IT. I can't tell you how many very smart and usually clued-in people I have talked to who have no idea that you can do this.

You can get a whole slew of interviews without any recommendations or a Dean's letter or even a personal statement. That's right. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY OF THIS STUFF. Some programs will offer interviews based solely on your profile, your USMLE scores, your school, your home town, and a variety of other potential factors.

As you can see by the sticky at the top of the forum, lots of places have started inviting applicants to interview AND IT'S NOT EVEN OCTOBER.

When I applied, I had abysmal Step 1 scores but an otherwise decent application. It took me forever to right a personal statment, and I had planned to submit my application by November 1. Someone let me in on the secret that your application DOES NOT have to be complete to submit it. After hearing this I submitted my incomplete application and got 8 interview offers before I even submitted my personal statement.

SO GET YOUR APPLICATION IN NOW!!! Sorry for all the shouting but it seems like some of y'all just aren't getting the message.

Good luck!

I applied in 2002-2003 for the 2003 Match.
