having an acceptance in hand from my in state school of temple i am questioning whether or not i should attend the rest of my interviews at columbia nyu and detroit mercy. More specifically should i go to columbia's interview. I have the luxury of being extremely connected to all residency programs in philadelphia so im not concerned about placement in to a residency based upon the dental school attended. whats everyone thinking? thx for the responses.

I would go to Columbia just to check it out. I would skip out on NYU and Detroit because in my mind, they're not better or cheaper than Temple.

I think Columbia is an awesome school if you want to specialize, if you plan on being a GP then I would stick with Temple. Columbia will cost you more and will not yield any additional benefits as a GP.

If you're unsure on Temple then you should go and see what the other schools have to offer.

But if temple is/was your #1 choice regardless of any other offers then I would see it as a waste of time, money and an interview spot for someone else if have no interest.

I would just stick with Temple since you're in-state. NYU would be too expensive to justify ever going there. Columbia would be likewise even though its a really good school. UDM would also be more expensive for you and it's also a good school (albeit probably on the same level as Temple).

If going to NYU and Columbia is just a train ride, then I would go just to see what its like there. But if you get accepted to either, I still think Temple is right for you.

I'd go to Columbia, they have the most impressive presentation and tour by far. It's a great school.

Just kick it with temple. Great school, great clinical, alright cost. NYU to expensive. Detroit is essentially a carbon copy of temple, although I dont know if temple is directly linked to any inner city hospital like Detroit is, which in my opinion gives detroit an edge over temple in the battle of the clinical titans. But moving out of your state is not worth the cost, and if you got network to match in residency then columbia isnt offering you anything but the name.
