OK, so I thought all of the schools I was applying to only required LORs from professors...well it turns out my dream shot (UNC) also requires one from a dentist. If I can scrounge one up do you think they'll accept it directly? I've already queued up four LORs from professors and pushed my AADSAS.

you should ask the schools directly, it's probably your best bet.

i've had schools make an exception for me from supp fee waivers to LORs

If LoRs haven't all been submitted yet by your professors, go on your AADSAS and remove one. Go get a dentist LoR and submit their info on LoR section. Have the professor you removed send you a copy so you can send it to the schools directly. It's best to have 1 letter from a dentist for all dental schools. If it's too late, just get one and email it to schools directly.

I think I'm going to have to do it directly, as I already submitted my AADSAS and can no longer edit it. Most of the schools I looked at didn't require LORs from a dentist so I didn't even think about it for the ones that do

You can edit LoR section after you submit as long as the letters haven't been submitted yet. They may not require it, but 1 dentist letter is recommended.
