Is it common? I just received from Creghion that I have been placed on the Alerante Wailist for Interview. How many of you have received such status from the school as well as other pharmacy schools?

"Waitlist for Interview" is a new one to me. Take it as a half way positive sign, at least you are still being considered. I haven't received any sort of email from them so I am probably not even being considered as an alternate for an interview. I know that they have an early April (April 8th I believe) interview date so they are probably waitlisting you for that interview slot.

I hope that you get pulled off of that list!

I received my letter in december saying that I was on the waitlist for an interview. Then Last week I got an email from them inviting for an interview.
It's kinda odd...

I'm sorry, this is off-topic, but it relates to Creighton (and I'm afraid of ppl yelling at me if there are 2 threads on the same school).

Does anyone know if Creighton is rolling admissions or not? I turned my application in Feb 1 and was invited for an interview 2 weeks later and I was amazed at their speedy service! It didn't seem "first come, first serve" so I thought I'd ask.

Their invite is also very nice, compared to other schools. A typical schools sounds like this: "We [high and mighty pharm school] have decided to grant you [lowly applicant] an interview slot." Creighton's was: "On behalf of the faculty and the admission committee, I would like to express our appreciation for your interest in Creighton University and our Doctor of Pharmacy program..."

This seems like a nice school, so even if you're waiting for an interview, I'm sure it'll be worth it!

UMKC does the alternate waitlist for interview. I think it is a strange concept.

I think it was just their way of telling you that you are still in the running (as in, they didn't reject you immediately), but then they had to wait and see how many interview slots they had available (since some of their first choices might have declined interviews, so then they can interview some other people). I'm pretty sure that all pharmacy school admissions offices have a pretty good idea of how many interviews they need to do to get the yield of students that they actually want in the class.

Yes, they are rolling - I interviewed in January, and I was accepted 2 weeks later. I believe that Feb. 1 was right at their deadline, so they were probably trying to look at a lot of applications right at that time; maybe that's why it didn't take too long for them to respond to you.

And, yes, it is a very nice school - all the people I met were so nice, and I really was impressed by all the things they had to say about the program and their overall approach to educating students.
