Does anyone know the chances of getting an actual spot if you are told you are interviewing for an alternate seat?

How long is their alternate list? A few cycles ago I interviewed at the beginning of May for a alternate spot at Case Western. I ended up getting on the list but it was 40 people long and I wasn't at the top. So I guess you'll have to find out how big their list is.

I would call the school. Most of the time they can tell you how the previous years have been. With your situation, you are probably better off than someone whose app has been in their hands since June and has been on the alt list since Dec.
