Sorry I was just wanting to get a list, but more specifically your opinions on some excellent alternatives to retail phamacy that has decent job opportunity.

I work as a tech in a retail pharmacy, and maybe its the fact that I only work 10 -15 hours a week that I am not picking up on every single thing so quickly? Or maybe it was the fact that I had a bad day, which makes me question whether I want to go into retail pharmacy.

Firstly, I love to council people, but I hate insurrance drama.

So are there any great alternatives to retail pharmacy that focus more on counsel, but do not require extra years of pharmacy schooling?

Ambulatory care pharmacy offers lots of counseling opportunities. There are ambulatory care residencies, but they are not necessary. The place where I did my rotation had a pharmacist who went to UF, then worked at Publix for a year, then answered an ad in the newspaper for a job in a clinic. He loves it there.
