So I applied two years ago to some schools in the US (I am from Canada). Around 13. But I was extremely late. Complete around Nov/Dec.

I am now applying again to around 15 schools (only 4-5 of which overlap with my previous choices).

I don't really want to mention reapplicant stuff in my PS because for most of the schools I am a fresh applicant..

Btw, my PS is TOTALLY different from what I had two years ago. I would go as far as to say that it does not even have one sentence in common with the previous one.

The stuff I improved are +1 in MCAT VR, GPA, Joined Grad School, and more ECs...

I think these things should be self-evident and not be mentioned in the PS to use up space.

Am I right?

then don't. there's nothing that says you have to or even that you should.

well, yes, you are a "reapplicant". for the questions that ask if you've applied before, you have to mention yes. AMCAS-subscribing schools will see this anyway (even you haven't not applied to their specific school before), so you can't hide it.

i'm a firm believer that you try to mention how you've improved from the previous cycle, it can be to your advantage. however, in your case, it appears that your only problem was applying late. did you do anything more significant other than improved MCAT, GPA, etc.? Did you publish? Did you do any big clinical shadowing? (if so, mention these.).... your PS, however, does not have to mention improvements, but if you spin these right (assuming they're significant, non-MCAT/ GPA number improvements), they may help you.

gl! :luck:

You do count as reapplicant at the schools you applied to before but not at the new ones.

And you don't have to mention that in your PS if you chose not to.
