If you seriously think that you would go to South instead of the other school, then go to the interview. But if you are mostly doing it just to see if you can get in, then cancel it. Since its the last session, your holding a spot that could go to someone who would otherwise not have an interview.

I got accepted to my first choice, but I am still contemplating if I should go to my interview at South.

Do you think I am being selfish and I should cancel the interview so someone else could take my place ? Or does it really make a difference at this stage since it happens to be the last interview session.

Yes, you are being selfish. However, that doesn't make you bad, it's possible South whatever could be a better fit. However, if you are fairly sure that it's not going to top your current choice, why waste their time?

And to counter your point, if there are 2 people that are similar, one is waitlisted and you're #2 how fair is it to that person (who might really want to go there) for you to jerk them around.

Don't come to this forum for absolution, that's what <insert proper building name for your religion here> is for.

If you've got any feelings for South, you should go so you won't second guess your decision later.

You've earned this interview, paid your fees to PharmCas and supplemental etc. You have every right to attend. If you think there is any chance that you'll attend South over your top choice if given acceptance, then absolutely you should go.
If you know that there is no way you'd go there over your first choice then the most ethical thing to do would be to call the school and thank them for the opportunity but let them know you've accepted an offer elsewhere.
For those who are waiting for an interview invite from South, I turned mine down so there's one more spot for someone! YAY!

I think you have. I faced the same situation with my interview with Crieghton, and I ended up declining it.

if/when you decline your acceptance there then someone else will have the opportunity off the wait list and is inevitably more qualified than a last minute interview invite (lets face it... if they were qualified they would have been invited).

I think you should do whatever you want, it's your interview to attend or not attend. However, with that being said, if you aren't really interested in attending South over your first choice, I'm sure you can think of about a million more enjoyable ways to spend a day than at a pharmacy school interview. 🙂 If you don't think it will change your mind and you aren't burning with curiosity about the school then why waste your time and theirs? By the way, congrats on your acceptance! 👍

This has nothing to do with ethics at this point. You're still at the point where you can be swayed from a first choice school by seeing what the second school can offer so going is a perfectly reasonable option.

Don't go if you don't want to, but it's not the ethical choice because there is no ethical conflict here.

If you think that there is any possible way that your mind could be changed from the school that you are currently planning to attend then go on the interview (as another poster said, you did earn the interview invitation and you have every right to accept it). BUT if you know that at this point you are not interested then give someone else an opportunity to know where they stand sooner. There is a good chance that South is the only hope for some students for this year's application cycle. Also I don't know where South is in relation to where you live but why waste the gas money or airfare, hotel, etc. to interview somewhere you are no longer interested in (assuming that this is the case)?
