Am I being waitlisted?

Hello, SDN.

I've interviewed at Penn a while ago in mid-December and I still have not heard anything back yet.
I know many people have said to wait and that acceptances come out til May.
However I just wanted to know if I should safely assume I am being waitlisted or rejected, if I didn't hear back for more than a month.
Until last week they told me my application is still under review.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

They told you, your app is still under review. That means they didn't make a decision yet.

at my interview at Penn they said by mid-march they will let you know whether you're waitlisted or rejected, so until you're notified, you definitely still have a chance on being accepted.

I'm sorry that I'm freaknig out so much but do you mean no news is good news? I feel like they would have known right after my interview if they wanted to reject me or not..

They’re probably still discussing and comparing you to other candidates and all you can really do is wait

Yeah unfortunately this is the most nerve-wracking part of the application process. Some schools just never respond or change your status, but most are interviewing and accepting well into April or May.
