I just finished organic chem 1 and for the 1 credit lab section I got an E. It didn't really effect my gpa.. I have a 3.4 gpa.. but is that going to ruin my chances at getting in even if the rest of my grades are good and if I retake it and get an A?

What is a grade of "E"?

If it is one step before "F" then you must retake the course as it will not count. If all else is OK, then one bad grade will make no differnce in your application as long as you have some reasonable explanation for the bad grade.

3.4 is a solid GPA. As long as you have a good DAT to back it up, I think you should be fine.

Speaking of flaming, please don't take it personally. I've got 1,000+ posts and I still get flamed daily for being a yankees fan.

Yeah totally, I'd much rather have an E in a 1creditl o-chem lab then actually be a sox or yankees fan. GO TIGERS
