hi, i don't normally post here but a recent visit to an optometrist has me worried. after he finished the eye exam he told me my prescription has nearly doubled and that i can no longer see 20/20. he also said that if my eyesight wasn't correctable i'd be almost legally blind.
my questions are- am i forever doomed to bad eyesight? can this be corrected with surgery when i'm older? also, because my eyes are really bad will they continue to get worse or stay the same? he said something about eyesight leveling off at about age 16, that's how old i am, what exactly does he mean by that? and finally, i just got my new glasses today and they came with a slip of paper that i assume he used when he examined my eyes. can someone tell me what these numbers that are on it mean? and what DS means?

thanks. and sorry for all the questions 🙂
