Hello all! I am an Asian male thinking about applying to medical school next cycle (preference for MD). I am a rising junior in undergrad that goes to college in Florida. I took my MCAT in sophomore year twice because I was part of a program. I got a 513 the first time around in Jan, and then a 514 the second time in May. I am a resident in Texas though, and I will be applying to all the MD schools. I am wondering if me going to college in Florida will hurt my chances of getting into Texas medical schools because all my experiences are from Florida and not Texas. Further, what are my chances at MDs (OOS as well) in general? I am an Asian male as I said, so I know it is a little harder for me to get accepted. Thank you for your time!

I wouldn't think it's a drawback to go to college in Florida. Be diligent learning about TMDSAS and the schools.
