Should I go the SMP route or retake the MCAT and apply this year (AMCAS application submitted, currently in line to be verified)?

MCAT 27Q (PS 7 BS 9 VR 11).
AMCAS GPA 3.8
GPA: 3.82
BCMP: 3.7
(currently work as a patient care tech in a hospital
hospice volunteer,
no research
etc. )

Help! I'm getting cold, cold feet. (but life is still great! 😍)

MCAT prep class and lots of studying to get score 30+ and you should be fine.... SMP are for ppl with lower GPA due to bad freshman year or other circumstances not for ppl with low MCATs....

I totally agree. You got some solid stats and an SMP would be inappropriate and a total waste of time and money. Get that MCAT up and I think you'll have a better shot!
