Hi, guys.

I actually received the acceptance letter for VCU biochemistry pre-health certificate program. It started already 21st Aug which is 1 week ago. I thought I can't go there and live so I reported that I can't enroll the program. Now.... I have changed my mind because I think I would waste 1 year with doing nothing. I was actually going to stay my hometown(fairfax) and go to GMU as Non-degree graduate program. I went to couple of classes and I thought "wow what the hell am I doing here?"

After I read some posts here I think I blew the valuable chance away. If I am not too late I want to catch it so I sent an email to recover my condition and now I am waiting for their response.

What I am worry about though is am I too behind to catch up the materials for 1 week? I mean They started last thursady and today is thursday which means that I already missed twice lecture. And I heard that this program is pretty tough.

Damn me... I am too capricious to do anything. I am so regretful for mis conducting my undergraduate years (I screwed up my GPA because of my freshman and sophomore year). Anyway I want to recover now and I believe I can do this.

Actually I want to go to dental schools and hopefully finish the program well and apply next year. Please gimme any advice you may have so you can encourage me!

THanks,

hopefully they let you back in,

if you do get back in, don't worry most of the classes don't delve to indept in the first week in new material, most will be background info you might know already.

pray they let you in, and good luck.

you got into VCU's pre-med grad program, correct? the two core classes you have to take for the biochemistry department is biochem and physio, 3rd class is elective. the classes started last thursday. each core class is one hour M-F. biochem has been kinda slow, mostly review of gchem, ochem, and biochem. the physio class covered more material. the first exam for physio is next friday. if you are familiar with neurons and muscle physiology, then catch up wouldn't be too bad.
